Repeat Prescriptions

In order to manage the volume of patients visiting the practice and to ensure that we can meet patient expectations of having prescriptions ready on time we are reluctantly changing our prescription policy.

Patients will be actively encouraged to nominate a pharmacy to which their prescriptions will be sent and from where they will collect them.

Prescriptions for collection from the Health Centre will be ready 48 hours after they have been requested not after 4:00pm on the same day.

Urgent scripts will be processed on the day. However, the patient will have to come back or sit and wait until it is signed. Staff will no longer leave their work stations to wait outside the Dr's doors for a prescription to be signed.
